Gigs have definitely slowed down, which is one reason why I haven't posted much lately. No gigs, no stories! And to be honest, I haven't really been thinking much about music lately. Since my due date's creeping up (March18) I've been busy preparing for the arrival of our daughter, Madison Ann. Anyone want to take a stab at what instrument she'll play?

Next weekend is the Knox-Jazz Rootabaga Festival, held at my alma mater. I encourage anyone within driving distance of an hour or two to attend. This year's lineup includes:

Also, next Thursday will be my last night at Panache for a few months. I'm starting jazz "maternity leave" on March 9 and will take off thru April. I hope to be back in May, but we'll see.
